James and Audrey were married about a month ago at Dundee Presbyterian Church here in Omaha. Two things stand out in my mind from the day. It was hot, and I literally don’t remember seeing Audrey without a smile on her face. Happy people are easy and fun to photograph, and this wedding had a ton of happy people. Here’s a look at some of my favorites from the day.
Pat & Brenna were married on June 22nd, 2013 in Oconomowoc, WI. Brenna & I are cousins on my Mom’s side. Driving up to Wisconsin and Illinois and hanging out with this part of my extended family is a really prominent part of the memories I have of my childhood and teen summers, so I was really excited and honored when Brenna & Pat asked me to photograph their wedding. Maybe even a little bit nervous too. This was an intense weekend travel and logistics wise (Pat & Brenna were very laid back!). But at the end of it I’ve had the opportunity to directly shape the way this weekend was documented for a group of people I care about. I say this all the time and I always mean it, I really enjoyed being a part of this day.
Last thing before jumping into the pictures. Thanks to my immediate family for the company they provided during the caravan up to Wisconsin, and thank you Lindsay for watching Evan as I worked/had fun. 😛

Kent and Jenn were married a month ago out on Jenn’s family farm in Ord, NE. It was a windy day, to put it lightly, but the wedding attendees didn’t seem like the type of group to complain much about the weather. We started the day off by wandering around the farm for some portraits, then held the ceremony outdoors between the Bremer farm house and a historic school house that sits on the property. After the ceremony everyone met at the Valley County Fairgrounds for dinner and a whole lot of dancing.

Dave and Christina were married January 5th at Vivace in downtown Omaha. We started out at Embassy Suites to grab a few shots inside where it was warm, then ventured out into the cold for more portraits downtown. Anytime you ask a girl in a strapless dress to wander outside in the cold with you for pictures you have to understand that she’s putting a lot of trust in you to get some shots that are worth being out there for. I’m really excited with what we got, Christina I hope they were worth it for you too! After the outside portraits we headed to Vivace for an intimate, family only ceremony and reception. Here’s some of my favorites from the day. Congrats again Dave & Christina!
Chris and Denise were married December 28th, sliding in as my last couple for 2012 (although I have a few backlogged posts to catch up on from earlier in the year). The ceremony was held in Council Bluffs at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the reception was held at the Joslyn Castle. Between the sub-freezing temperatures outside and the family and close friends guest list, the Joslyn felt downright cozy. In spite of that, Chris & Denise were still game for some quick portraits outside the castle. Here’s some of my favorites from the day, congrats again Chris & Denise!
