Here’s a recent wedding I’m just finishing up.  Jeff & Sarah were married August 25th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaVista.  The reception was held at A View West.  Jeff is my brother in law so it was a busy family event and I was really thankful to have the assistance of Daniel Dunlap second shooting for the day.

Highlights of the day include a blind card exchange, bubble exit, mini bottle shots on the party bus, wedding party pictures at OPPD Arboretum, a candy bar at the reception and lots and lots of dancing.

I had a hard time narrowing down images for this post on account of the length of the day and the fact that there were two of us shooting so this will be a bit longer than normal.  Jeff & Sarah I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do, congrats again!

Josh and Rebecca were married a few weekends back at Fontenelle Forest down in Bellevue.  They followed a beautiful outdoor ceremony up with a walk down the Fontenelle boardwalk to visit with dinosaurs.  Really.  This was my second time shooting a wedding at Fontenelle although the first time the weather really didn’t allow us to spend much time outdoors.  I had a great time and I’ve picked a bunch of my favorites that I think really show a cross section of the day.  Congrats again Josh & Rebecca and thank you for choosing me to photograph your day!

Also, big thanks to Rachel Tiller for her help second shooting!  Lindsay and I have a very new baby (a little over two weeks at the time) at home and we were very happy to find someone to step in to help, allowing Lindsay to stay home with the little guy.  Anyway, on to the pictures!

Zac & Beth got married a few weeks back at Wildewood Church and I had the opportunity to hang out with them and photograph their day.  Everyone included in the wedding was really happy and relaxed and it set a really great tone for the whole day.  After the ceremony Lindsay and I took the wedding party to a nearby park to get some fun outdoor pictures, then everyone headed into Bellevue for the reception at Base Lake.  Right before sunset I grabbed Beth & Zac and we nabbed a few couples pictures with the sun coming in low off the lake behind them.  I’ve really been loving extremely late day sun the last few weddings, having time to grab those is really a highpoint to late spring/summer weddings.  Here’s a few of my favorites, congrats again Zac & Beth!

I photographed Derek & Michelle’s wedding a few weeks back down in Bellevue.  We started at the Reed Center for some group pictures, then went down the street to the First Presbyterian Church for the ceremony (Lindsay was excited about this because it took us past the church that we got married in).  Derek & Michelle had prepared their own vows which Lindsay recalls were “super sweeeet!” and made Michelle tear up (and Lindsay tear up in turn).  After the ceremony it was back to the Reed center for the reception.  Derek & Michelle gave me some time right after dinner to wander around the grounds outside right before sunset and those are definitely my favorite pictures of the day.  Late day sunlight and happy subjects make it really easy to end up with gorgeous pictures.

All in all it was a really fun day and I’m so glad I was able to be there to photograph it.  Thanks again Derek & Michelle for having me out.  Here’s some of my favorites!

Sean & Lauren got married over Memorial day weekend at A View in Fontenelle Hills.  We spent a lot of the day eyeballing the sky and hoping it wouldn’t rain on the outdoor ceremony, aaaaand it ended up being a gorgeous, rain-free ceremony with nice overcast light.  Sean and Lauren were a ton of fun to watch throughout the day.  They both have really expressive personalities and Sean is pretty much a maniac on the dance floor.

I had a hard time picking favorites for this post so it’s a little larger than normal.  Seems to be the way these are trending lately (yay?).  Thanks again for having us out Sean & Lauren, and congrats again!
