Bob and Jill were married a month ago up in Norfolk. The ceremony was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with the reception at the Divots Conference Center. Probably my most vivid memory of the day was the huge sense of relief I was treated to immediately after the first look. We had been discussing whether to set up in the church or outside for Bob & Jill’s first look at each other. Ultimately we decided on staying indoors and as we wrapped up I turned to see a torrential downpour snap into existence outside. Jill is possibly one of the sweetest Bride’s I’ve photographed in a while but I think she would have choked me if I had taken her out to get caught in that. 😛
Aside from that brief and intense bit of rain we had a really beautiful day. Quite dramatic skies throughout which was kind of a treat. Thanks to Dan Dunlap for making the drive up with me and helping out for the day. Here’s some of my favorites. Congrats again Bob & Jill and thanks for having us out!
