A month back Colin & Emily had a Sunday afternoon ceremony and reception at the pavillion in Elmwood park.  This was one of the more elaborately decorated receptions I’ve had recently, and confirmed my suspicion that Emily  probably knows her way around photoshop better than I do.  Colin had a discerning beer choice for the reception, and they  had cookies & milk instead of a cake cutting.  While I think cookies vs cake is open to debate, cookies+milk clearly trumps cake.

We wrapped the evening up with some late day portraits which I always get excited about.  Here’s a bunch of my favorites from the day.  Thanks for having me out guys and congrats again!

I shot Dan & Jill’s wedding last month and it was a blast.  It’s hard for me to describe the general vibe of  most days but I think kind and warm-hearted would be a good start for this day.  Kind and warm-hearted with a crazy party streak.  Crazy like the best man tanning a note of congratulations onto his chest to the Bride and Groom, or grown men recreating the lake jump scene from Dirty Dancing during a dance-off.

The ceremony was at Mary our Queen and the reception was held at St. John Vianney.  We also had a stop at Upstream in between for billiards and alcohol.  Overall it was just a really fun day that I’m glad I got to be a part of.  Here’s some of my favorites from the day, congrats again Dan & Jill!

Here’s a recent wedding I’m just finishing up.  Jeff & Sarah were married August 25th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaVista.  The reception was held at A View West.  Jeff is my brother in law so it was a busy family event and I was really thankful to have the assistance of Daniel Dunlap second shooting for the day.

Highlights of the day include a blind card exchange, bubble exit, mini bottle shots on the party bus, wedding party pictures at OPPD Arboretum, a candy bar at the reception and lots and lots of dancing.

I had a hard time narrowing down images for this post on account of the length of the day and the fact that there were two of us shooting so this will be a bit longer than normal.  Jeff & Sarah I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do, congrats again!

Josh and Rebecca were married a few weekends back at Fontenelle Forest down in Bellevue.  They followed a beautiful outdoor ceremony up with a walk down the Fontenelle boardwalk to visit with dinosaurs.  Really.  This was my second time shooting a wedding at Fontenelle although the first time the weather really didn’t allow us to spend much time outdoors.  I had a great time and I’ve picked a bunch of my favorites that I think really show a cross section of the day.  Congrats again Josh & Rebecca and thank you for choosing me to photograph your day!

Also, big thanks to Rachel Tiller for her help second shooting!  Lindsay and I have a very new baby (a little over two weeks at the time) at home and we were very happy to find someone to step in to help, allowing Lindsay to stay home with the little guy.  Anyway, on to the pictures!
