Here’s Thomas & Sara’s wedding to share!  The ceremony took place at First Central Congregational Church.  After the ceremony we stopped at Memorial park for a few pictures, then continued to the Paxton ballroom for the reception.  This was one of the luckier days I can remember in terms of weather, there were several times throughout the day where rain either cleared right as we were about head outside, or started up right as we had gone back in.

Things that stand out to me from this set.  Near disaster when the groomsmen decided to run out to the parking lot at the same time the bridesmaids were arriving, narrowly averted by forming a tuxedo bag shield wall.  A few impromptu bridal portraits using an amazing window in the prep room several minutes before the ceremony.  The silhouette shot of Thomas and Sara after the ceremony, moments before the rest of the wedding party caught up with them.  Last, the end of the night, heading to the roof despite the rain and a missed sunset, then finding a pretty unique portrait to end on.

Congrats again Thomas & Sara!  Thanks for having me out to photograph your day.  Here’s a bunch of my favorites!

James & Tana were married at St. Robert Bellarmine in west Omaha.  The first half of the day started out with quite a lot of rain, but by the time we were leaving the church things had started to let up.  We stopped at Lucky Bucket Brewery for a few drinks, then continued on to Tiburon.  By the time we arrived for the reception the weather had completely cleared up and we were able to grab a few outdoor pictures before heading in for the rest of the evening.

Things that stood out to me about this wedding.  Lots of warm and personal family interactions.  An intensely sincere speech from James at the reception, more impactful against the backdrop of the day’s emphasis on family and friends.  Lots of color after the rain.  Lots of dancing.

Jen & Aric were married at Rejoice Lutheran Church in April.  After the ceremony we stopped at Memorial park for pictures, then continued on to the Paxton Ballroom for dinner, dancing and rooftop moonlit portraits.  A quick anecdote from the photographer.  You can tell a lot about people by how they respond to problems under stress.  At one point during the day there was a bit of a transportation hang up, during a portion of the afternoon that was somewhat tight schedule wise.  Jen & Aric both calmly started working on alternatives.  Ultimately the situation resolved itself, but it was a small illustration to me, an outside observer, that the two of them make a great team.

Anyway, here’s a bunch of my favorites.  Congrats again Jen & Aric!
