Robert, Jeanette and I had been trying to schedule this engagement session for the last couple months.  Every time we set a date something would come up.  I think at one point we had snow in May?  Saying that now seems bizarre but that’s the type of thing we were running into.  We finally met up last weekend to make some pictures and the weather was perfect.  Sometimes you think you know what you want and then what you get is so much better!

We started this session in Downtown Omaha and then moved out to the OPPD Arboretum to get some sunset stuff.  I’ll be shooting Robert & Jeanette’s wedding in September so more to come of the two of them.  For now here’s some of my favorites from the engagement session.

It’s been a while since I’ve had an engagement session to post so I’m excited to share this one.  Lindsay and I went downtown with Kent & Jenn last weekend and hiked around the Old Market.  I love the light downtown right as the sun is setting and I’m really happy with what we got.  Here’s some of my favorites!

Lindsay and I met Dan & Jill at Elmwood park last weekend to wander around and shoot some engagement pictures.  It had rained earlier in the day and we were a little worried about weather but by the late evening everything had turned out really gorgeous.  I’m shooting Dan & Jill’s wedding in September and am really looking forward to it, and it’s always nice to get to hang out and do an engagement session ahead of time because it really makes photography on the wedding day a lot more comfortable.

Lindsay says I have to mention they brought their dog “Biscuit” for a few shots and now she wants one.   😛

Anyway, here’s a few of my favorites!

Lindsay’s younger brother Jeff got engaged to Sarah in Chicago this fall and they asked us to shoot some engagement pictures for them.  We set a day, met up, and pretty much immediately got rained on.  We decided to just go with it and break out some umbrellas for the worst of the rain.  We ended up having a lot of fun, and the weather didn’t really cause us much trouble.  We started out at Lake Zorinsky, played a few holes of mini-golf at Pacific Springs, then headed downtown for dusk.  I’m really becoming a fan of shooting during the last 15 minutes before sundown.  Anyway, congrats again Jeff and Sarah!  Here’s a few of my favorites from the day.

Autumn is pretty much my favorite time of the year to get out and shoot.  The weather is usually really comfortable and the fall colors make great backdrops pretty much anywhere.  Lindsay and I were really excited to get to meet up with Colin and Emily last month to shoot some engagement pictures.  We started at the OPPD arboretum for some natureish shots, then headed downtown for an urban vibe.  We finished up right around dusk at the old market Upstream, which was kind of neat because Colin and Emily’s first date was at an Upstream (west).  Here’s some of our favorites from the evening.  Congrats again guys!
